AMANFUO,

IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS THAT WE LEARN OF THE DEATH OF REVD. PEARSON, THE FIRST HEADMASTER AND CO- FOUNDER OF OUR BELOVED PREMPEH COLLEGE. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT ORGANIZING AN ASANTE FUNERAL IN HIS HONOUR IN SCOTLAND THIS SUMMER BY INVITING ALL THE SONS AND FRIENDS OF THIS GREAT SCHOOL TO PERHAPS A WEEK/WEEKEND LONG FUNERAL. OF COURSE SENIOR KUFFUOR SHOULD BE INVITED OR BE INVOLVED IN THE PLANNING. OPINIONS GUYS!

-----DR. K.KYEI-ABOAGYE, PEARSON HOUSE 1956-1962.

I'm sad this Sunday morning to learn from far away Australia of the death of the Rev Pearson. As a product of Prempeh College - although many years after the founder had left the college - I believe I owe much of my present status to Rev Pearson.

All Amanfuo (Prempeh College Old Boys (and a few Girls) are consoled by the fact that he will for ever be remembered by generations yet unborn.

Pearson House, one of the residential halls for students at the college, will ensure that the name PEARSON is never forgotten.

All Amanfuo will remember his surviving family in our prayers.

May the Lord rest his soul.

Thanks for sharing this sad event of Reverend Pearson’s passing with us. Indeed Reverend Pearson’s legacy shall forever remain with us for posterity. This was a man who was entrusted with a duty to make a difference under the shadows of a dire situation, and he surely delivered. The fruits of his vision offered some of us the opportunity to be part of something special. The solid foundation he laid has definitely stood the test time. The legendary story of Prempeh College is there for all to see. It is all encapsulated in the school’s motto “Suban Ne Nimdee”

On behalf of all Amanfo who might not be privy to this rather sad news, I would like to send a big heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family of the Good Shepherd, the Reverend Pearson. Mother Prempeh shall always remain grateful for all what he tried to do and in fact accomplished. May his soul rest in eternal peace till we meet again.

Osofo Pa Pearson, damrifa due, damrifa due, due ne amanehunu. Onyankonpon nfa wo nsie, Amen.

I was also a beneficiary of mother Pempeh.I attended Prempeh in the sixties when the school was at its prime. As others have said before me, the system worked at that time. How else could a 13 year old boy from rural Dormaa enter the best high school in Ghana in 1962? My life was shaped at Prempeh. The ideals that I hold close to my heart were formulated at Sofoline. Mr Pearson laid the foundation which was later continued by the likes of Arthur Clarke and T.A. Osae. We all owe a great debt of gratitude to Mr Pearson. May he rest in peace

Mr Pearson's work will forever remain a great legacy at Prempeh College. I am also a beneficial product of sofoline. As we celeberate his life and accomplishments, i will like to this time wish his family well as well as all AMANFO. Thank you.
