    John K. Koduah

John comes into the Presidential race with a bible quotation in hand; "when the wicked is in authority the people mourn, but when the righteous take over the people rejoice." This is the conviction of the 1942 man from Kumawu in the Ashanti region.

A product of Prempeh College in Kumasi, John is yet another Lawyer in the 2000 Presidential race, with a University of Ghana and Ghana Law School diplomas neatly tucked in his fold.

He had an early birth into politics by attending political rallies of Dr. Busia and by 1979 he was elected regional chairman of the UNC which contest the 1979 elections. He played leadership roles in the Danquah- Busia club that transformed into the NPP in 1992. As a strong believer in the good book and a co-founder of a church, John Kodua, who is father to a soon-to-be doctor-son, has implicit faith in God and hopes that will steer him through.

IN HIS OWN WORDS: "I belong to an international body which seeks to promote core values of transparency and integrity and which has entrusted to us and other capable and trustworthy people in many countries, large sums of money to assist the poor."

    CHURCH ACTIVITIES:

"I have been a very active Christian since 1968 and I am a Co- founder of the church of Divine Love. I am also a Bible Teacher and Preacher and I have implicit faith in GOD which places me in a very good position to lead our Party and national at this very crucial time of our history.

I am married to Mrs. Selina Kofuah and we have one child, David Koduah who is now in the final year of the Ghana Medical School at Korle-bu, Accra.

As a staunch Christian, I believe in the Welfare System or type of society in which each will be his brother's Keeper. Opportunities and circumstances in people's lives differ but the more fortunate and prosperous in society must have regard or compassion for the needs of the needy or the less fortunate in society."

    ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL WORK:

"My belief that each must be his brother's Keeper has motivated me to be an active part of the Oportunity Network (Worldwide) which is essentially engaged in the pursuit of the Christian principle that each should be pursuit of the Christian principle that each should be his brother's Keeper. I am part of a group of dedicated Christians who have incorporated an NGO in Ghana which is engaged in sourcing funds from donors Worldwide to assist the needy in Ghana and the Trust is working wonderfully in Ghana."

    PROPOSED CAMPAIGN STRATEGY:

"First and foremost, in line with my implicit faith in the LORD GOD and HIS WORD, especially Luke 18:27- (which says what is impossible with men is possible with GOD) - I will counsel the setting up of Prayer groups in our various set-ups to set the tone for our natural campaign. Already, there are in place Prayer groups worldwide praying for me and for he success of my Party. The relevant Latin is, "ORA ET LABORA", i.e., "PRAY AND WORK". A book entitled: Christians in the corridors of Power depicts what Christians do in the American white House."
