    Fritz Baffour


    Mr. Fritz Baffour, Television producer and Media Consultant is the Managing Director of Tropical Visionstorm Limited. Born on 11th March 1952, he is married to Kate Teresa and they are blessed with (3) three children.

    After his secondary education at Prempeh College and Technology Secondary, where he obtained his O’Levels, he travelled to the U.K. for further studies. He enrolled at the City of Bath College, Avon, in 1972, completed his course of study and continued at the Bristol Polytechnic also in Avon, where he obtained a certificate in Management Studies in 1976.

    Some of the films and productions he has worked on include the following:

    • Producer/Director/Presenter of "Sincerely Yours", a TV magazine program
    • 1990 to date - shown on Ghana Television.
    • 1992 - Producer/Director - "The Road to Victory". The Presidential Campaign
    • 1992 - Producer/ Director/Scriptwriter of Beyond the Main Road. A documentary on Sanitation in Accra.
    • 1992 - Script and Narration for "Welcome to Ghana" For Ghana Tourist Development Company
    • 1992 - Producer/Director/Presenter of "I am Complete", a documentary featuring Isaac Hayes and Dionne Warwick in Ghana.
    • 1994 - Producer/Director/Presenter & Scriptwriter for "Reversing the spiral", a documentary on population growth, poor agricultural practices and environmental degradation, Commissioned by the World Bank, USA.
    • 1994 - Presenter on the series "African Footsteps", a documentary produced by Diverse Productions for the BBC.
    • Consultant for Multichoice/M-Net Ghana.
    • 1995 - Presenter on the "Right Approach", a documentary on Guinness Brewing activities world wide, produced by WorldWide Productions for Guinness Brewing, U.K
    • 1995 - Producer and Presenter on the documentary "10th Milestone of the National Board for Small Scale Industries
    • 1995 - Producer of "Sea Bounty", the activities of Pioneer Food Cannery, Makers of Star Kist Tuna.
    • 1995 - Fritz also hosted the Annual African Hunger Award Presentation in Accra.
    • 1996 - Producer/Narration/Script on the documentary for the Ghana Armed Forces to celebrate 50 years of the End of World War II
    • 1996 - Producer/Narration for the documentary on "Women &the Environment" commissioned by the Fredrich Ebert Foundation.
    • 1996 - Audio Visual Consultant and Producer for the Presidential Campaign of H.E. J.J Rawlings of the fourth republic of Ghana.
    • 1996 - Producer/Director for the series "Count Down to the Olympics".
    • 1996 - Producer/Presenter Scriptwriter for the documentary on "35 years of the US Peace Corps in Ghana.
    • 1996 - Producer for the documentary on Energy Conservation, commissioned by the Ministry of Mines & Energy.
    • 1996 - Consultant to Burson Marsteller, a US PR Company.
    • 1995-1996 - Consultant to ARD-1 German TV (Kenya).
    • 1996 - Consultant to Kyodo Television team (Japan/World Bank).
    • 1996 - Producer/Director on the documentary on teak production commissioned by Bonsu Von Berg Farms.

    Currently, he is working on a project with a group from the US, to produce a video series on Ghana, its people and history.

    The Ghana Army recently honoured him for his coverage of its operations in Liberia and Rwanda at the peril of his life.
