Please, Click RELOAD for updates every few minutes

10:20 GMT: Quiz starts in 10 minutes. Prempeh boys are out there in their traditional green shirts and dark brown khaki. OWASS in the dirty cream, as usual.
Presec has already beaten GSTS.
10:30GMT: The boys are seated with Richard, Louis and Dwubeng. Louis is the captain. Oh what a day.

Both teams have got all the first 7 questions right. This is tough.
Mr. Anokye is not here today. Anokye was our former Asst. headmaster who was appointed to head his alma mater OWASS in January. he was behind our Quiz successes in the past.
Each school gets its questions right. Amazing.
Prempeh 18, OWASS 18
There is no room for error here
How they got here: Prempeh beat Ebenezer 89-11 and Keta 75-71. OWASS beat Swedru Sec 96-36 and Kforidua Sec Tech 96-77.
The 2 schools have faced 2 common opponents: Prempeh beat Mfantsipim by 1 point in a friendly, OWASS beat Mfantsipim by 25 in a friendly. Prempeh had also beaten Swedru by 21 in a friendly; OWASS beat Swedru by 60 in the actual competition (round of 16).

End of round 1: Prempeh 24, OWASS 24

Prempeh is taking control now.
Amanfoo leads!!!!!!!
But by only a point.
PRESEC 87, GSTS Takoradi 70 (final score)
Our battle here continues in round 2 with Prempeh 42, OWASS 41. They have come to "Problem of the Day," which has to be solved.
The place is packed with Amanfoo-Legon. Prempeh solidarity at an all-time high.

This is the 5th time Prempeh is facing OWASS in a major competition this year: We won the Ashanti Inter-Schools Maths Quiz by placing first and second; OWASS placed 4th.

We eliminated them in the early rounds of the National Inter-Schools Debate competition, and went on all the way to be crowned National Champions.

To keep you entertained, here are some photos from the National Debate final.

Problem of the day: each school scored 10 points.
Our 1 point lead may prove crucial.
Prempeh 52, OWASS 51.

Prempeh also won the prestigious Milo Soccer Championship, which OWASS was only a semifinalist.

The end of Round 4: PREMPEH 75, OWASS 71

we lead by a precious 4 points.
The OWAREANS are getting panicky. They are the ones who are ranked second based on last year's SSSCE Exams national rankings. They are under immense pressure.
Wesley Girls and Holy Child, who placed 1st and 3rd respectively in the SSSCE Exam, refused to participate in the Quiz this year. What are they afraid of?

Your commentator today is Senior Ebenezer Owusu Wireko with more than 80 other Amanfoo at this center including: Francis, Odoom, Kojo Ntow, Alevo, Elvis, ABEAM, Adabankah, Russ, Thomas, Asafo Adjei, Sarfo , K. Nyame and a whole lot more.
owass is trailing by 3 points just before the last riddle

Amanfoo get on their knees praying just before the riddle
As soon as the preamble was said, Victor of OWASS pressed the bell
during the 1st clue
the whole place is dead quiet
the OWASS boy then answers "mRNA" and the woman said, "no". OWASS got it wrong!!!

the place is wild
Amanfoo's shirts are off in the audience

OWASS would have gotten 5 vital points from that to lead us 2 points and win but they blew it in a typical cowboy fashion - using gidigidi and patapaa.
the woman (quiz mistress) is having a tough time calming us down
for about 10 minutes the place was loud
the Prempeh boys have relaxed and are ready for the last question
the answer is RNA......CORRECT PREMPEH!!!!
the owass boys have started crying and the akatakyie are leaving the room
we have started singing the anthem: AMANFOO,ARISE AND SHINE

Prempeh still leading

leading by 6 now.

Prempeh is holding on to the vital lead

Amanfoo, OWASS is losing. Our boys are really great.

Still leading Amanfoo, Prempeh is going to the finish!!!!

Prempeh wins: 94-88, FINAL Score

we are singing the Prempeh anthem now.

We face the winner of the TI AMASS - ACHIMOTA matchup.
Don't forget that we beat AMASS twice in 2 friendly quizes 72-52, and 108-53. This is indeed the year of the Amanfoo. Prempeh is winning everything.

Semifinals:
Tamale Sec - St. Peter's winner vs. PRESEC
TI AMASS - Achimota winner vs. PREMPEH

It is amazing how humble the Prempeh boys are. OWASS has been talking trash all week about how they are going to "collapse Prempeh." Their battle song was "Prempehfuo suro, Prempeh eho epopo" (Prempeh is scared, Prempeh folks are panicking). And yet these cowboys were crushed.

Prempeh never uttered a word. They let their brains did the talking. Typical SUBAN NE NIMDEE style.

Talk about collapsing Prempeh. OWASS has collapsed. They won't even shake hands. They are in mourning. We beat them in the National Debate Competition which we emerged champions, we won the prestigious Milo title, which they could only place as semifinalist, we beat them in the Ashanti Maths Quiz which they disgracefully placed 4th. Even Osei Tutu Secondary beat them to the 3rd position. Furthermore, their murderous cadet corps were outperformed by ours at the Stadium this year after they returned from their 5-year ban this year. In the only decade that OWASS wasn't banned from sports, their cadet corps were banned for a period of 5 years, for beating to death an innocent person. Not only did they murder the poor victim, they subjected him to an unendurable pain, which is surprising that they were reinstated so soon. The only thing they beat us in was SuperZonals athletics, under some strange circumstances.

Headmaster just gave the boys 900,000 to all the 9 contestants.

Mr. Kodua just called to check the results from Digo, our Physics tutor. Those who followed this commentary in internet cafes in Kumasi already know the results. We have crushed cowboyism!!!!

Louis was splendid today. Prempeh had only 2 questions wrong!!! Talk about a school that placed 15th nationally!!!

2002 year group has been very influential in this win. They were there to motivate the boys today as early as 8am

Amanfoo recorded about 100. The big Amanfoo in their cars were all here.
People came here in their college cloth.

the OWAREANS didn't shake hands with our boys, but an old Okatakyie came over to congratulate the boys. The OWASS cowboys are crying. Oh Prempeh, why did you do that to the poor Santasi boys?

The PRESECANS were all supporting us today after they hooted at us last Tuesday when we met Keta.

Digo, our Physics teacher with an Owass heritage just left campus. He said he knew our boys would win but they were so timid; he just called one of the Owass teachers on Prempeh campus and told him to resign because their alma mater has been disgraced.

They say BARIMA NSU, but the cowboys are crying.

Thats all folks; at 1:55pm GMT; our commentary comes to a close. FLOREAT PREMPEH!!! Semi-finals tomorrow.
