Dr. A.L. Lawson is new Legon Medical School Dean

Monday, April 3, 2006

Prof. A.L. Lawson of the Department of Anatomy of the University of Ghana has been appointed Dean of the University of Ghana Medical School, which implies that all the nation's medical schools are headed by Prempeh graduates -- a feat that is unprecedented.

In fact, following the elevation of Prof. Tagoe as Acting-Vice Chancellor, his position of the Medical School Dean became vacant. Prempeh's own Dr. Richard Biritwum of the Department of Community Medicine took over as Acting Dean until his fellow Amanfoo Dr. Lawson became the Dean.

Prof. E. Tsiri Agbenyega is Dean of the Medical School of The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology.

Prempeh.org will bring you more information about Dr. Lawson at a later date.
