Kenny G, Manhyia and Obed Shine on TV

Wednesday, March 15, 2006

Kenneth Owusu Ansah, holder of a Milo soccer championship gold medal, Class of 2005, returned to entertain the boys on behalf of prempeh.org. Ken is a very skilled guitarist.
Prempeh College has shown once again that there are a lot of talents to be unearthed in the younger generation.

This follows the extraordinary performance put up by a number of young Amanfoo notably, Kenneth Owusu Ansah also known as Kenny G; Manhyia of the Gospel Singers Fame (Class of 2002) and then the Prefect of the Year 2004/05, Obed Appiah.

These young Amanfoo are among those who took part in the TV3 MENTOR programme shown on the station. This programme offers the youth the chance to exhibit their talent with a jury of three distinguished musicians including Jay Q choosing the best talented person.

It is likened to the American Idol where people show their talent through singing. The TV3 MENTOR can be said to be the Ghana idol.

These young Amanfoo have qualified to compete in the grand finale. Kenny G was once again on Tv with his favourite guitar as he sang beautifully to the admiration of all.

It may be recalled that Keneth, Class of 2005, a key member of our national championship winning football team, participated in the Prempeh.org Nite with the Stars in December where he stole the show with his guitar.

Chapel Prefect Obed Appiah (Class of 2005) was the first Prempeh student featured in our Leaders of Tomorrow.

We wish them all the best.
