Adade starts career on bright note

Monday, January 30, 2006

Samuel Adade of the Class of 2002 Prempeh's great sprinter Samuel Adade (Class of 2002), who is now on full athletics scholarship at the Middle Tennessee State University, has started his university career brightly.

At the Blue Raider Indoor Invitational competition held at his school in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on January 21, 2006, Adade led the 4x440 Yard Relay team to win the event. The Adade-Terrell-Reid-Barton foursome posted a winning time of 3:17.45. However, he placed only 3rd in the 400m, with a time of 51.09.

At the Middle Tennesse Christmas Invitational held 12/10/2005, Adade placed 3rd in the men's 200 yard dash with a time of 21.62. He was also part of the 4x400-meter relay team that placed 2nd.

When he tried the 55 meter dash, he placed 6th with a time of 6.51 seconds.

The season started in December 2005 and is expected to continue until the NCAA Championships in June. Prempeh.org will keep track of him with our radar that tracks global Amanfoo achievements.

In 2004, Adade won the 100m, 200m and 400m races at the All-Africa Juvenile Athletics Competition in Nigeria. He led the Ghana relay team to set a new record at the Juvenile Olympics.
