PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Prempeh's Dominic Oduro was today
drafted by FC Dallas of the US Major League Soccer in the 2006 MLS Super Draft
in Philadelphia.
Oduro was FC Dallas' fourth pick and he was drafted 22 overall.
One of only four (4) non-American players drafted by the
MLS teams this year, Oduro was the 2004 Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year and a
Third Team All-American. He was Preseason All-American in 2005.
Oduro led the team and the conference with 16 goals and
33 points in 2004. He appeared in 41 matches during his two years at VCU with
39 starts. For his career, Oduro had 18 goals, five assists and 41 points.
Three of his goals were game-winners. Oduro helped the Rams reach the
quarterfinals of the 2004 NCAA Tournament, VCU’s first quarterfinal
appearance. Oduro was the 22nd overall pick in the 2006 SuperDraft.
