Nyame named to NCAA Div. II All-Southeast team

The 2004 Sports Prefect, Douglas Nyame (also called Manchester United), who earned a scholarship to play for Anderson College in South Carlina, was in December named to the NSCAA NCAA Division II Southeast Region All-Region team. Nyame is one of several Prempeh products excelling in foreign universities, which gives further testimony that Prempeh is indeed a soccer Mecca.

ANDERSON, S.C. -- Tolu Popoola and Douglas Nyame of Anderson College both have been named to the NSCAA NCAA Division II Southeast Region All-Region team.

It is the first time in the history of the four-year program that Anderson has had players honored by the Southeast Region.

Both Popoola and Nyame were named to the second team.

Popoola, a junior from London England, scored eight goals and had four assists in 18 matches. Nyame, a freshman from Kumasi, Ghana, led Anderson's defense, which recorded four shutouts.
