Leaders of Tomorrow

Herewith a profile of some outstanding Prempeh youth, including some recent graduates and boys still active at the College.



ADABANKAH ANTWI BERNARD


Adabankah Antwi B., of the Class of 2002, OT House, was one of the real academic gurus in Prempeh College during his time. He has served both the University of Ghana Business School and Amanadehyee with distinction.




FRANCIS AINOO


Obuasi native, Francis Ainoo of OT House is the new Senior Prefect for the 2006/07 academic year.




IGNATIUS NTIM MINTAH


I.N. Mintah, the 2002 Prep Prefect, is seeking the SRC presidency at the University of Ghana, where he is studying Accounting.




RICHMOND ADUSEI OWUSU


Born in a small village in the Ashanti Akim North District called Nyaboo, nobody imagined Princeton University student, Richmond Adusei Owusu (Class of 2003), would grow to such heights. Richmond has a story to tell.




COLLINS ASANTE


Collins Asante of the Class of 2003 is currently workin at Peace FM and Hello FM as a sports presenter and commentator. He is considered the finest on the radio in the area of sports especially in the commentary category.




DOUGLAS NYAME


Douglas Nyame of the Class of 2004 (OT House) is a star soccer player at Anderson College in South Carolina, USA. Nyame is one of several Prempeh products currently excelling in foreign universities. In 2005, he was named to the NSCAA NCAA Division II Southeast Region All-Region team. Douglas was also named to the 2005 All-CVAC Conference soccer team.




PAUL MANU


K. Manu is Prempeh's great soccer sensation who dominated the game in his form one year and became the first form one boy to make the Ashanti team. Winner of the MVP award in the Prempeh.org Inter-Houses Soccer League, he aspires to play for Real Madrid FC.




MAXWELL AMANKWAH


Prempeh basketball star Maxwell Amankwah is a member of the Ashanti basketball team that recently won the silver medal in the Inter-Regional Sports festival, 2005.




EBENEZER AMOAH


Eben is one of the great soccer stars who helped Prempeh win the national football championship. He also scored several goals for the Ashanti team in the Inter-Regionals Sports festival of 2005. He aspires to play for Spanish giants Barcelona FC.




SAMPSON OTOO


Otoo is Prempeh and Ashanti Region goalkeeper who played a vital role in Prempeh's run to the national milo football championship. He also kept the goal for the Ashanti team in the 2005 Inter-Regionals Sports festival in Sunyani.




ERNEST OPOKU


Ernest Opoku, also called Mad Lion, is Prempeh and Ashanti athletics star who specializes in hurdles. He chose Prempeh because of Suban ne Nimdee.




KWAME DANSO


According to Danso, some people wanted him to be a prefect but he told them that he could also add his blessing to the school by winning the Science and Maths Quiz for them.




YAW ASAMOAH-ADU AGYEKUM


The 2005/06 Second Assistant Senior Prefect, Asamoah-Adu, who admires Martin Luther King Jr, says he fears nothing except losing focus of his lifelong goals, which is to become a surgeon and a medical researcher. He dreams of being a neurosurgeon.




WILLIAM KOFI OWUSU DEMITIAH


William, the 2005/06 Assistant Senior Prefect I, who admires Bill Clinton, is a brilliant orator who helped Prempeh win the 2004 National Debate Competition. As a Senior Prefect, he intends to "leave a legacy of excellence."




ASIAMAH ENERST


Asiamah, a member of the 2005 Science quiz team, is called "The Editor" because he edits Maths textbooks written by Maths Professors of various schools. He edits textbooks and tells his fellow Prempeh students the mistakes therein. He's the guy that edited the Elective Maths book "Aki Ola," which is written by one Peter Asiedu. Other Maths books used nationwide are edited by him. He scores a record 100% on every Mathematics exam at Sofoline. What a bright future he has.




ERIC GOLOE


Eric Goloe, the Ashanti "Athlete of the Year" for 2004 who set the 100 meter record in 2005 has been chosen as the sole representative of Ghana in the 2005 World Youth Athletics championship. As an outstanding soccer star, he helped Prempeh win the Milo national football championship.




JUSTICE AMOH


Justice Amoh is the gifted artist who won the 4th Unilever National Schools Art Competition and went to London to claim the famous prize with artists from various countries.




AMOAKO GYAMFI PHILLIP


Amoako, who scored the goal in the 2005 national soccer finals, is a regular player of Hearts Babies at Krofrom in Kumasi. He chose Prempeh because of the "green magic" (i.e., the fame that comes with wearing the green school uniform).




OKEI STEPHEN


Prempeh soccer and table tennis star, Okei currently plays for ASFA Sekyi Academy at Juaso, Konongo. He chose Prempeh because he realised at an early age that Prempeh's green shirt always brought respect to the wearer. He dreams of "playing for teams like Manchester and Real Madrid."




KENNETH OWUSU ANSAH


Kenneth, a versatile sportsman who plays soccer, hockey and participates in athletics, plays the left wingback position for Prempeh on the soccerfield. Currently playing for Arsenals FC at Tech, he aspires to play for Asante Kotoko.




AHMED AMOAKO


Ahmed Amoako of the Class of 2006 is the 2005 National footballer of the year, having captained the Prempeh soccer team to national championship glory. He has been invited to the national under-17 team.




OBENG KWAME


Obeng Kwame of Ramseyer House, the 2004/05 Assistant Senior Prefect II, says a lady from Aburi Girls School is the best a man can have. He wants to become a civil or mechanical engineer.




AMPONSAH OFORI AGYEMANG


Class of 2001/02, Senior Amponsah Ofori Agyeman, who was the Asst. Opoku Ware House Prefect, now works for Shell Ghana, where he's involved in Retail Operations. Amponsah, who loves politics, basketball and sharing, chose Prempeh because as an Adventist he wanted a school where all religions are respected.




GYABAAH VICTOR YEBOAH


According to the opinion of many Prempeh students, the 2003/04 Senior Prefect, V.Y Gyabaah, is the boy every mother must want for her daughter. So let us take a closer look at the stately Dormaa-Ahenkro native before he becomes the occupant of the Castle in a few decades time.




NKRUMAH SAMUEL OBENG


Nkrumah S.O. is the Assistant Senior Prefect I (for 2004/05). He plans to block all illegal routes leading outside the school so as to enhance effective studies and discipline on campus. Furthermore, he will strengthen ties with YAGSS since he loves that girls school the most. He plans to make all Amanfoo around the globe excited about prempeh.org because of the interesting contributions he's going to make here.




OHENE-KONADU PAPA YAW (P.Y.)


Assistant OW House Prefect (2003/04), PY, also known as Denzel, is the Script Analyst for The Stool (The Prempeh magazine). Denzel loves YAGSS so much that he could actually be considered "Prempeh's Ambassador" to that Girls School. He dreams about being the webmaster for this website - a dream that is on the verge of coming true. He's already very famous for having argued his way to a national championship in the 2003/04 National Schools Debate.




ENOCH AMOAKO


Enoch Amoako of Osei Tutu House is running for the position of Entertainment Prefect. He says that as Entertainment Prefect, he will ensure that invited artists come to the school to perform in order to "beef up" our entertainment program.




DWOBENG POKU EBEN


One of the Owarean killers, Dwobeng loves the colour green, which is part of the reason why he chose Prempeh. He was a key member of the Quiz team for 2004 National Science & Maths Quiz competition, in which Prempeh defeated OWASS for the upteenth time.




GYEABOUR KWASI OWUSU


Nicknamed Malcom X, Gyeabour's dream for Prempeh College is a utopia. He is the Editor-in-Chief of The Stool, the Prempeh Magazine. He was the Principal Speaker for the 2003/04 national debate winning quartet.




LOUIS OTENG GYIMAH


Louis, whose favourite teachers are Gifty Darkoah Mantey and Avogadro, aspires to be a doctor in the future. He was captain of the 2003/04 National Science & Maths Quiz team that led Prempeh to third place.




EBEN OWUSU ANSAH


Son of a Bishop, Eben Owusu Ansah is a day student who aspired to be the next Senior Prefect but was elected Day Prefect (for 2004/05). A bonafide Christian who was an SU executive even in JSS, his hobies include reading the Bible and listening to Gospel music.




RICHARD ADJEI MENSAH


Even back in St. George's JSS, Richard knew he wanted to take part in the Science and Maths Quiz for Prempeh. His dream came true this year, when he was selected as part of the trio that participated in the 2003/04 quiz competition.




KIMATHY KWADJO KONADU


Kimathy Kwadjo Konadu of Opoku Ware House, who became angry when he saw the SSCE ranking of OWASS in relation to Prempeh's in the newspaper, is the 2004/05 Senior Prefect. He says he "stands for discipline and better academic standard." Kwadjo's appointment as the SP for the 2004/05 school year is historical, given that this new house hasn't produced a Senior Prefect before.




ALHASSAN CHIBSAH FAISAL


Captain of the school football team who led us to win the prestigious Milo trophy in 2004, Chibsah is the junior brother of Asante Kotoko star of the same name. He played for Vasajam FC for 3 years and also for the colts club of Liberty Professionals for a year.




TWUM BARIMAH


Senior Twum Barimah, of the so called White House, whose hobbies include reading motivational books, was one of the candidates who lobbied for the Senior Prefectship position, though he was not successful. This very diplomatic fellow wanted to be an SP so he can help develop discipline on campus. He is not worried, however, that he did not win because the President of Ghana was not an SP during his Prempeh days, yet he turned out fine.




APPIAH OBED


Obed is the Chapel Prefect for 2004/05, which makes him the 4th in command. He chose to ran for this position because he wants to help the students have a strong relationship with God. He also wants to help raise the standard of discipline in the school.




DEBRAH KOFI AMOANI


Kofi Debrah, who aspires to be a chemical engineer, is the President of the Writers & Debaters Club of Prempeh College for the 2004/05 academic year. Besides debating, his other hobbies include poetry, watching movies, and browsing the net.
