Republic Day at Sofoline

Wednessday, July 4, 2007

Prempeh.org paid a visit to campus today to find out how the students were celebrating the Republic Day.

Most of the students were surprisingly found in the classrooms revising though they are about 3 weeks away from the End of Term exams. Discipline had seemingly been restored to the campus after the departure of the Form three's leaving only the Forms 1 and 2's to deal with.

Though the gates were widely open, most of the guys chose to stay in school. Those who weren't by their books were in their common rooms watching movies. Others chose to sleep in their dormitories and gather some 'capa' for the night. The main attraction of the day was a basketball match between Prempeh and Kumasi High School. Prempeh beat KUHIS 39-23.

Meanwhile, the Prempeh SRC is preparing to host the ARSRC Congress this year from the 5th to 10th August. They were scheduled to have a meeting with the headmaster today to discuss certain pertinent issues.

All the boys are backing the quiz contestants and it is expected that there will be prayer sessions in all the houses during MID-WEEK DEVOTION on Wednesday to ensure our victory this year.

All the boys are expecting the trophy at Sofoline on 11th July, 2007
