SRC Week celebrated

Friday, February 2, 2007

Though the SRC week could not be celebrated in a manner that was anticipated by all, the students are happy about the whole thing since it is first of its kind on the campus of Prempeh College. The event which was supposed to take off last week wednesday could not come on at that particular time. That notwihstanding, there was excitement on the campus on Saturday as entertainment had a lot to offer.

Performances by students from each house made the whole place go wild in the evening on Saturday. The likes of Flexy Bone of Opoku Ware house, Sly Pincho of Pearson house and Phimm, a comedian of the college made the college a home away from home.

The entertainment took away the nostalgic feelings of people who felt the school was boring with less programmes to make them happy.

On Wednesday, the prefects and SRC executives led by the indefatigable assistant headmaster, Mr Yeboah and the college chaplain, Rev. Laryea donated food stuffs, clothes, sandals, shoes to the Kumasi Childrens Home. As a result of the lack of finances, the senior prefects asked the students who wished to donate bring out something.

This call touched the hearts of most of the students who donated in cash and in kind to help the orphans at the Kumasi Childrens Home.

The SRC executives and prefects would like to use this medium to express their profound gratitude to all who made the SRC week a success.
