Prempeh College was put in a state of emergency today after the students had
suffered a series of attacks by mobs and thieves from Adoato, Sofoline and
Bantama.
The attack which started last weeek Friday had some students books,
money and mobile phones taken from them. As if that was not enough, the
thieves or robbers also took turns in the masters bungalows and cars and
took away valuable items.
The straw that broke the back of the camel was on Saturday when one of the
students was stabbed by these thieves who put on white shirt and khaki and
pretend to be students.
The Prempeh College boy was rushed to the nearby
Suntreso hospital where he is still receiving treatment. The headmaster
however alerted the Sofoline policemen who now patrol the school.
The
students were today warned by the headmaster at assembly to also try their
possible best to protect themselves.
The headmaster assured students of measures which will be put in place such
as adequate security and good lighting system on campus. The cadets have
also taken upon themselves to curb these incidents.
