Gospel Showdown at Sofoline

Thursday, January 18, 2006

Prempeh College is known as the most religious school in Ashanti and Ghana as a whole. This is seen in her products serving so many leadership positions in various churches and ministries over the country.

Seniors such as Rev. Dr. Aboagye Mensah, President of the Ghana Methodist Church, Rev. Dr. Setri Nyomi, general secretary of the World Alliance of Reformed Churches, and a host of others have taken the country by storm. Day in day out, they transform the lives of many people in the world through the spreading of the gospel.

The spiritual leaders who trace their roots from Prempeh College were all Scripture Union members while some were very good singers during their days in the college.

The singing group on campus that has won the hearts of the Kumasi populace is the Gospel Singers.

The Gospel Singers, a group under the Scripture Union organises a gospel concert dubbed, "Gospel Praise" each year. This year's concert which will be held at the renovated Osae Assembly hall will draw other singers from YAGSS, St. Louis, KUMACA, OWASS, Monica's, KASS, and KUHIS. These groups of singers will be joined by ace musicians in the country.

All Amanfoo are invited to the show that starts at 9am on the 20th of January at the Osae Assembly hall. No fee will be charged at the gate and refreshment is assured.
