Because of the denunciatory report we wrote here about the state of the Sofoline road and the Prempeh College entrance, the
problem is currently being resolved.
A few days after our revelation about the traumatic events happening on that Death Zone and the repeated coverup by police officials, we
passed by that area only to
find road workers on the scene, reconstructing that road.
For years, the headmaster has been appealing to government officials (some of whom pass through
the death trap on a daily basis) to come
to our aid and resolve the
problem. But that call has always fallen on death ears. Until our report.
This calls for celebration if for no other reason than having successfully changed
retrograde minds and thereby removed a problem that ensnare
the modern school boy.
This is obviously a delightful story with a profound subtext. Why are we so short-sighted? Why do we lock the stable door only after
the horse has been stolen?
