General Situation on Campus

Tuessday, September 12, 2006

Besides the story of students who have been dismissed from the school for achiveing a mark of less than 50%, the following is what we saw on the first day....

The campus was relatively quiet and some students had not reported apparently due to rumours that the re-opening date had been postponed to enable eligible students vote in the District Assembly elections.

New Admissions:

Headmaster said he only had slots for only 600 new students this year. He had officially not received anything from the GES and did not know when they would report.

Opening Assembly:

It will take place tomorrow, 13th September, 2006 at 9am. All staff and students are to be present.

The programme for the Opening Assembly is as follows:

Opening Hymn The School
Opening Prayer College Chaplain
Scripture Reading & Exhortation College Chaplain
Announcement Asst. Headmasters and Snr. Housemaster
College Anthem The School
Headmaster’s Message Headmaster
Closing Hymn Methodist Hymm Book 870 (a)
Closing prayer and Benediction College Chaplain

Looming Strike:

Teachers were around but prefects were doing the registration and issuance of feeding chits. The impact hasn’t been felt that much since the college is yet to settle down.
