Just before school closed for the 2005/06 academic year, a special ceremony was held on campus
to commission a four-flat building which will house some Sofoline staff.
The new flat
The 405 million-cedis teachers' quarters comprises of four-flat building with two bedrooms
each and was constructed from internally
generated resources of the school.
The facility was inaugurated by Bantamahene Baffour Asare Owusu Amankwatia V1, custodian of
Sofoline lands
whose predecessor bequathed the campus land to Nana Prempeh for the establishment of
the Royal School. Bantamahene is a new member of the College's Board of Governors.
He commended the headmaster and staff for the
foresight and said the board would support initiatives that would help promote
teaching and learning in the school.
Headmaster Owusu Achiaw said the management of the school would continue to explore
various avenues to
provide residential accommodation on campus for the staff.
