Various announcements were given by the Assistant Headmasters and the Senior Housemaster. The Snr. Housemaster warned students to abide by all the rules and regulations of the College and anyone who is caught breaking the school rules will be disciplined.

He informed the boys that while they were away, the College was honoured for having the best website in the country. He introduced the certificate to them and informed them that when the headmaster returns he will hold a session with the boys at Assembly on Monday and talk about the site's accomplishments. The Chaplain then stepped in to remind the students that the ban on the use of mobile phones on campus was still in place and that any phone found on a student will be permanently ceased. He asked the prefects to help ensure that this ban is enforced and that they lead an examplary life in the respect. He said he was going to pay unannounced visits to dormitories and cubicles.

The College Anthem was then sung.

Headmaster's Message:

The Assistant Headmaster (Academics), Mr. A.A. Kodua stood in for the Headmaster who was out on a pressing official assignment.

He began by welcoming all to the 2006/7 Academic Year. The term was to be 14 weeks long effective 11th September to 15th December. The term was to be full of activities. Some students who were just unable to make the passmark had been granted an "amnesty" and promoted. He cautioned that for this Academic year, the passmark will be strictly 50 with at worst 3F's and not 49.9. Any student with 4F's will be withdrawn. He called for hard work and effective planning from the students. He said that truant students for the past academic year will be handed over to the College Chaplain for counseling. He also announced that students who wrongly addressed their report envelopes will be dealt with in due time.

There were going to be two general exams this term in the 4th and 8th weeks. He admonished students to take class assignments serious. All classes were compulsory for students.

The end of term exams will take place in the 1st week of December.

He cautioned that though teachers are on strike, all students are to stay in their classrooms during class hours and revise their notes. He declared an Operation 100% WASSCE.

Closing Prayer:

The closing prayer was said by the Chaplain. MHB 870 was then sung and there was a benediction by the Chaplain.
