Get 50% or go, says Headmaster

Wednesday, May 31, 2006

At a Staff meeting two days ago, the Headmaster reached a decision with his staff that 50% average mark in examinations should be the rule. This means that boys are expected to maintain at least a 50% average in order to maintain their status as Prempeh College students.

Those who fall below this mark will be dismissed from the school without any exceptions.

This has triggered fear among the Sofoline boys are expectd to be studying more seriously.

Traditionally, 40% mark has been the rule at Sofoline. But Headmaster Owusu-Achiaw wants to elevate the standard immensely. Boys are being reminded that they could soon become known as "former Prempeh students" if they do not study seriously.
