    STUDENT WEEK CELEBRATED

    Friday, February 3, 2006

The "student week celebration" organised annually under the auspices of the Ashanti Regional Student Representative Council (ARSRC) is to be graced on Sunday with a thanksgiving service at the St Louis secondary school.

During the past week, there were a host of activities including clean-up exercise and some quizzes marking the annual celebration.

Asst. Senior Prefect Demitiah is President of the Ashanti Students Association or SRC. Prempeh's Asst. Protocol Prefect is the Vice-President.
The quiz that took place in Prempeh's zone at the Osae Assembly hall today had some schools competing alongside "the gentlemen."

Some of the competing schools were Kumasi Girls, Osei Tutu, Yaa Asantewaa, Antoa Secondary and Toase Secondary.

Senior Appiagyei, an Arts student who is a genius in terms of current affairs, represented the college and had almost all his questions right and taking bonuses from the other schools.

Appiagyei who is known as "Mr Know all" is Prempeh's archive of current affairs. He steps into the shoes of Senior Boamah who completed school last year. Appiagyei is expected to lead the school to battle for honours in this year's What do you know? in Accra. He came first after the competition and Prempeh takes their prize on 5th February at St. Louis Secondary when they have the thanksgiving service.

Prempeh's Assistant Senior Prefect Demitiah is the President of the Ashanti SRC. He was elected in August to a one-year term.
