Mr. Atiemo, the Senior Housemaster, who disgraced himself on Wednesday
|
Students who talked to us after their meals said they never thought the Senior Housemaster could be that "stupid" since that could trigger violence on the campus. The students said it was senseless for "the father of the school" to behave in such a manner because the prefects are not even present in the dining hall.
It became clear to prempeh.org that one disturbed parent of a prefect is filing criminal charges against Mr. Atiemo for issuing death threats on the very students he has been put in position to protect.
More parents are going to rush to the school to protect their children from the wrath of this ineffective administrator, which will escalate the crisis at Sofoline.
Prempeh.org has used all forms of diplomacy over the years to get Mr. Atiemo to rule appropriately. In fact, we have tried very hard over the years not to criticise him here because of the affection we have for him as the son of a former Prempeh headmaster and the only Amanfoo in the Prempeh administration. Not only do we write special open letters to him to get him to act appropriately, we often meet him privately and offer ideas. But now we have realised that we can no longer treat him lightly while he destroys our school.
The only principle that impinges on the hearts of these administrators is public ridicule. That is the only language they understand. It was only after we ridiculed them here that they stopped caning at Prempeh. When the PTA came to the school and warned them about the low quantity of food they offered students, the administration failed to act until prempeh.org repeatedly exposed them here. It was only recently that they started serving all tables at the dining hall because of our work.
But what they do not realise is that all the stories that appear here will have a far-reaching impact on their careers. Wherever Mr. Atiemo goes, his record will be clearly available for his future employers to judge him.
