CULTURAL TROUPE PEPARES FOR GRAND SHOW

    Wednesday, November 23, 2005

When our Carolina friends from the USA came down to Ghana two years ago, the cultural group that had one of the greatest dancers on campus at that time, Yongi Cho, was splendid.

Not only did they make the students and staff from South Carolina Capitol School happy but also they proved to the whole world that the Prempeh College Cultural troupe is second to none in Ghana.

Started in 2002 along side the drama club by Senior Ebenezer Wireko, it almost collapsed because of several challenges until 2003 when the troupe became strong after some members of staff realised the idea was worth pursuing and viable.

The cultural troupe is the talk on campus now as the troupe prepares towards the speech and prize giving day. Numerous chiefs and kings of Ghana will tread on the grounds of their alma mater once again. Indeed, it will be more than a durbar and people will relish the occasion.

The cultural troupe has hired a man from the 4BN who is training them currently and teaching the new crop of students how to play the drums and other things.

The boys will really make the speech day one that will forever be remembered.
