    KWADWO FRIMPONG IS EATING CHAMP

    Thursday, November 17, 2005

After going through the qualifying stages that saw all contestants eating about 8 balls of kenkey at the dining hall, four people made it to the finals on the 12th of November.

With the speed that these people ate the food at the dining hall, one needs no soothsayer or prophet to have told him what to expect since all the guys were up to the task and knew what they were about.

    The contestants.

The entertainment started with songs from some individual people. Senior Ampong then came forward to announce the motive behind the competition and also made it known to them the sponsors for the occasion, prempeh.org. He told them how the website has been helping the college in diverse ways and why they need to be abreast with the information of the college and her old boys by visiting the site.

The competition then started with the boys eating a bowl full of "coloured," the name given to jollof rice at the Kings College.

Eventually, Simon Kwadwo Frimpong, who is an aspirant for the prempeh.org manhunt ate all the food at an alarming rate of nearly less than five minutes.

He was thus crowned the champion for the day.The competition saw so many people making noise and yelling since they all wanted Kwadwo Frimpong to win. This is because, he has a penchant for "capturing" at the dining hall and all students know him to be someone who loves eating a lot.

He thus had the privillege to eat at the high table with the senior prefects for a whole week and also had a nice cufflinks shirt and an amount of money from the webmaster.

Kwadwo is now hoping to win the double -- to be crowned Mr. Prempeh as well on saturday night.
