WEBSITE BROWSING AT AN ALL-TIME HIGH AT SOFOLINE

    Sunday, November 13, 2005

Technology is fast moving in Ghana now and that is really helping the common student have access to his school's website and other stuff very easily.

With the introduction of GPRS in Ghana by Scancom Company, the company that owns the Areeba mobile phone network, browsing on phones has started in Ghana.

This has therefore made students of Prempeh College very happy as they can now browse their website via phones and do not have to walk to any cafe.

Browsing while eating is very common at Sofoline
Yesterday, so many boys were gathered at the front court of the college. Any visitor will wonder what these boys were doing over there. Lo and behold upon getting there, the students were browsing the photo gallery of prempeh.org with some checking the league rankings while some were reading the news on the Inter-houses Science and Maths Quizzes league.

These boys were really full of smiles and are glad they can now browse the website of the College even at the comfort of their dormitories and debate on some of the pressing issues that hurt them to the core such as the rift between the senior housemaster and the headmaster.

With the story on the website, that was the first time some section of the students realised why their demands were not attended to.

Now, the only thing that a student needs is a phone and off they browse the only collegiate site in Ghana!
