FIRST SET OF EMAIL ADDRESSES HANDED OUT

Each of the recipients were handed an envelope addressed to them, with a letter specifically designed for each individual, which contained the email address and access information.

Over all, the boys were impressed by how meticulous the whole work was done; the idea of sending a special letter to each person was what impressed them.

Boys who were unavailable at the time of delivery had their letters delivered to their House Prefects. Most of the recipients surprisingly entered the website and checked their email addresses and changed those passwords just after delivery. The first to check was Demitiah WKO, the newly elected Senior Prefect, followed by Bernard Owusu of Opoku Ware.

The excercise is still ongoing. Examples of the letters delivered are shown below:

Letter to our Senior Prefect

Dear Senior Konadu:

We are pleased to inform you that your email address is seniorprefect2004@prempeh.org. Your password is ------.

To check your email messages or to send messages at any time, just enter http://prempeh.org.

On the bottom of the main page, just above the search engine box, you’ll notice a note that says “…check your email here.” Upon clicking on that, you’ll be prompted for a username and password. For the username, type in your full email address, which is seniorprefect2004@prempeh.org. Then type in the password.

You will then be taken to the mail management page, where you will check your mail there. There are two mail carriers to choose from - Horde or Squirrelmail. Explore the features of both to see which you like better and use it. The second one that you do not use is still yours and will remain there should you decide to use that in the future. At the mail management page, you can change your password, and set up other features.

Please keep your password a secret after you change it. Make sure that you select a password that is easier to remember, for example, your girlfriend’s first name or your date of birth.
