ASHANTI STILL ON HIGH

At the just ended National Best Teacher Awards program, in which Prempeh's Mr. Okyere-Darko came second, Ashanti Region featured on the national scene by having 5 of the national awards coming to the region. These awards were:

• The overall 3rd best Teachers – From KNUST Junior Secondary School. Taking home a $19,900 salon car.
• The best science Teachers at the Secondary level - Mrs. Sobotey from Technology Secondary School, KNUST, Kumasi.
• The second best Teacher at the secondary level - Alfred Okyere Darko from Prempeh College.
• Third in the Training College category Mr. Adjei Mensah From Offinso Training College.
• Third from the Primary School section Mrs. Diana Berko – Jamasi Presby Primary.

It is important because last year there was no national award winner Ashanti region. But the clock has turned this year the various regions recorded the fewest.
