HEADMASTER INTRODUCES OPERATION 45%

Mr. Owusu-Achiaw, the headmaster of the college has introduced 'Operation 45%' aimed at getting rid of all nonchalant students and those who do not take academic work seriously. This operation according to some section of the old boys is a step in the right direction and they think that it should even be extended to 50%. 22 students were made scapegoats this term when they were dismissed from the college for falling below the 45% mark.

Mr.Owsu-Achiaw in a telephone interview said, "this will help raise the level of discipline and seriousness in students who are not serious." He also said that, the problem with this whole thing is that some of these stiudents are the wards of old boys so they try to come and intercede for them. He said, "anyone who fails to make the average and tries to see an amanfoo so he would be pardoned will have to meet the Board of Governors."
