    REGIONAL MINISTER VISITS

    Tuesday, July 13, 2004

The Ashanti Regional Minister visited The Kings College today, together with the Kumasi Metropolitan Director of Education.

The Director of Education was there while the boys were writing the English Language paper, to familiarise himself with how the SSSCE Exams is going.

The Regional minister, who is a product of Konongo Odumasi, collected a list of form 3s who are owing school fees and announced that they are all to pay or they will not write the exam next week.

Also, Rev. Aboagye-Mensah, the President of Methodist Church, visits the school on Thursday.

Meanwhile, five students were punished today. Two exam candidates who went all the way to Holy Child Girls in Cape Coast without permission have been asked to write the exam in white shirts and not green - an euphemism for having been expelled from the Royal School. The rest of the students punished were in Form one.
