HEADMASTER TO PUNISH MOCK EXAM ABSENTEEISM

    May 26, 2004

The Headmaster today promised to discipline all those who failed to write the Mock SSCE Exam. There are rumours on campus that some students didn't write all the 8 required papers. This has alarmed the Headmaster who is under pressure to produce results better than last year's nationally-fifteenth position. The Headmaster is therefore leaving no stone unturned in his quest to revive the great name of the Kings College.

Because of the precariousness of the Headmaster's and the School's own position, there is going to be a revival from 4th to 6th June, a friday after prep, saturday during the entertainment time slot and Sunday at church service to pray for the success of the school in SSSCE. The School is very particular about this issue.

The mock ends tomorrow with the all students writing Social studies paper.

    OWAREANS INVADE OUR CAMPUS

    May 26, 2004

OWASS boys came to our school on Saturday to demonstrate that they are also National Champions after they claimed they won a national basketball competition final against PRESEC.

They actually prepared for this mission by preparing placards with statements written on them, which they brought with them to our royal grounds.

More dishearteningly, they were dressed in torn and dirty cloths.

    Pearson House
    The OWAREAN invasion.
They were silenced by the defeat suffered at our hands during the National Science and Maths Quiz so this gave them the chance to fool. They were about to be sent out of the school by the cadet corps but the Acting Senior Housemaster asked our boys to spare them the ordeal.

They ran out of the school when some irate boys threatened "to beat them by the count of 3."

Luckily this website was on hand to take pictures of this situation which we will show the whole world.

No one went to their campus to jubilate when Prempeh beat them in 5 competitions this year out of a total of 7. In fact, no group of Prempeh students have ever invaded OWASS campus in our history. But the OWAREANS always storm our campus for very trivial reasons.

In February, they stormed into a meeting of Prempeh's and Yaa Asantewaa Girls' ROYAL PAIR meeting and disrupted the proceedings. Why are they so obsessed with Prempeh College? When will this madness end?

Editor's Note: This report has been written and presented without any prejudice or insult, even if the leading character is viewed as an opponent. It is not intended to portray any school in a negative light. It has only been presented here because it pertains directly to Prempeh College. We are simply reporting an incident on our campus, which should not be viewed as an attempt to injure the reputation of anyone.

    SCHOOL MAGAZINE PURCHASE NOW OPTIONAL

    May 19, 2004

Out of fear of being condemned by the Ghana Education Service again, our Headmaster Mr. Asamoah Owusu-Achiaw has made the purchase of the School Magazine, The Stool optional for students, instead of adding to their bills. The magazine now costs 50,000 cedis and that is a headache for the students.

The Headmaster has actually sent a fax to the Education Minister seeking his permission to add the mafazine charge to thee school bill. A response from the Ministry is pending.

You may recall that the Headmaster was warned by the Education Service for excessive fees during the first term.

HEADMASTER MEANT HIS WORDS; PE EXAMS UNDERWAY

    May 14, 2004

The Headmaster announced at the Closing Assembly ceremony at the end of last term that students will write a PE exam this term. He wasn't kidding. The boys have just began writing the Physical Education exam.

Meanwhile the prefectorial candidates have been given the green light by the Headmaster to start campaigning for elections. The aspiring prefects had to write a motivational letter to the Senior Prefect, who selects the eligible candidates and presents them to the Headmaster. After the vetting process by the Headmaster and his staff, the student body will then vote for their ideal leaders.

This website will bring you a profile of all the candidates and their manifestos with interesting analysis as well as all the proceedings regarding the vetting and elections.

    BOY LOSES BOARDING PRIVELEGE

    May 10, 2004

Prempeh now serves as a registration center of the WAEC'S PRIVATE EXAM popularly known as NOV-DEC in Ghana.

    The School
Classroom window broken by remedial students.
It had a lot of people complaining about the mode of registration last year as there were a large number of people and they couldn't attend to them early and quickly at the WAEC headquarters. In view of that Prempeh is now a registration centre. The idea of people coming to the school to register now bothers Prempeh students since they disturb classes when they are there. Due to the competitive nature of the registration, people come as early as 4 am to get a seat or join a queue.

An unfortunate incident has taken place today as the mob broke a glass of the main classroom block.

One Prempeh student took advantage of the visitors' hardships and used that opportunity to make money when he secured a seat for someone and sold it to the person. He wasn't so lucky and was caught. The headmaster ordered him to leave the school early this morning at Assembly. His trunk and chop box were sent out of the school. He has now lost his boarding privilege. He will continue as a day student.
