Dr. Anarfi Asamoa-Baah: Deputy Director-General of World Health Organization.

Dr. Emmanuel Tuffuor: President & C.E.O, GhanaCare/HealthAfrica Inc., & Founder/Chair of The Board of Governors of the famous Animwah Medical Center, Kumasi, whose pioneering work in the Health management sector has won steadily increasing acclaim as "one of the greatest contributions of the advancement of health in the developing word." Not only has his projects been endorsed by the World Bank & IMF, it has also been featured in the New York Times, as this picture shown here clearly depicts.

Dr. Joseph William deGraft Johnson Riverson: Executive Director of Donor Relations & Coordinator of Trachoma Program, World Vision U.S., who has lived a life of exemplary devotion to humanitarian causes. When the Bagauda dam collapsed near Kano City, Nigeria, he was the one who investigated and reported it. He also led World Vision to present relief supplies to the victims in Nigeria in 1988. The “Expanded Program on Immunization, Western Region of Ghana” was designed and implemented by him between 1988 and 1996. He was also one of the brains behind the Zimbabwean Water, Health & Agriculture project. He also established the Ghana Rural Water Project.

Dr. Jacob Jordan Lamptey: Renowned Ghanaian psychiatrist who operates The Valley View Clinic (est. 1987), a private clinic situated at Dzorwulu - a suburb of Accra. This is a unique establishment because it is a general practice with special interest in psychiatry and related problems in a country where psychiatry practice and psychiatrists are rare. His contributions and achievements include the Vice Presidency of Mental Health Association from 1972 to 1983. During the tenure of office he organised students on drug abuse and related problems in most of the secondary schools in Greater Accra and few regional capitals. He also lectured on mental illness and related illness to churches, rotary clubs and many such groups. In 1992, he was selected to Copenhagen, Denmark to do a course in counselling and psychological treatment of refugees and victims of torture. Subsequently Valley View Clinic became a centre for emotional treatment of refugees and victims of torture (i.e., those from Liberia, Sierra Leone and other troubled African countries). Since 1972, he has been a part time lecturer at the Counselling Department of the University of Ghana, Legon. He has also attended numerous international conferences and presented academic papers on psychiatric topics. Over the years the Valley View Clinic has treated more than a thousand drug abusers and addicts some of whom have completely recovered and travelled abroad to study and some hold positions of excellence in Ghana. He was able to initiate the concept of Community Psychiatry during his attachment to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital in the early seventies.
