WILLIAM KWAMENA-POH


William Kwamena-Poh is a celebrated master artist whose works have graced the walls of T.V. sitcoms, corporate and private collections. His work has been used as set decorations for television shows such as "The Cosby Show"(NBC), "Baby Talk"(ABC), "Roc Live"(FOX), "Martin"(FOX), "In The House"(NBC), "South Central"(FOX), "Moesha"(WB) and "Living Single"(FOX). His work was recently used in the promotion of the new Chevy SSR, a combination sports car/truck that Chevy is introduced last year. Two of his images were also used in redecorating an apartment on the HGTV (Home & Garden Televsion) show A Date With Design.




DR. KOFI ADU MANYAH


Dr. Adu Manyah, who is a product of Freeman House and a former member of the Prempeh teaching staff (1977-1980) is a multidisciplinary scholar of the Institut de Phonétique de Strasbourg and the Université Marc Bloch in Strasbourg, France, where he is an expert in Language Science. He has written numerous articles in French and English. His publications in French include a book on Twi Phonetics and Phonology, « Introduction a la phonétique et a la phonologies africaines : les sons de tous les jours, le cas du twi (akan) », Paris, L’Harmattan.




H.E. PRESIDENT J.A KUFUOR


Senior John Agyekum Kufuor is the current President of Ghana (since 2001).




MR. KWADWO MPIANI


Financial Analyst and Management Consultant by profession, Senior Kwadwo Mpiani, Class of '61, is Minister of Presidential Affairs & Chief of Staff of the Kufuor regime.




PROF. F.O. AKUFFO


Professor F. Ohene Akuffo, who is recognized internationally as a renewable energy expert, has been teaching in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Kumasi, Ghana, since 1973. He was head of the Department (1992 – 2000) and Dean of the School of Engineering (1998 – 2000).




MR. KOFI ASANTE


Mr. Kofi Asante, one of Ghana's great lawyers, participated in the international negotiations on the law of the sea. He is currently a a senior partner of Ampem Chambers, a Kumasi-based law firm.




MR. DAVID DUNKLEY GYIMAH


The brain behind the Prempeh College Documentary project, Senior David Dunkley Gyimah is a multi skilled producer and a finalist in Channel 4's national digital awards 2002: Unleash the Talent Inside. Besides being recently selected as one of the major role models for UK Blacks, he is currently directing/editing a Bob Marley film for one of the music giants whilst previous documentaries include Unveiling Gallipoli - an international deep sea dive expedition for the BBC WS; How to become a CIA officer; and being assigned to the Lewis camp during Lewis vs Tyson. David has freelance produced for ITN & Channel 4 News; Powerhouse; BBC Breakfast and Ex Saatchi head of TV, Jon Staton.




MR. JOHN SARPONG


Senior John Sarpong is the Chairman and CEO of Africast Global Media, which holds interests in television, radio and internet properties; as well as President of Southline Industries which he founded in 1996 as an aerospace technical design, certification and project management company serving the air transport, corporate and special mission military aircraft industry. His Southline Industries has completed projects for Gulfstream Aerospace, Raytheon Corporation (two projects for the Korean Air Force, and the Japan Maritime Safety Agency), and Sikorsky Helicopter (two projects for the Turkish Navy and U.S. Army Blackhawk helicopters). He created the non-profit Africast Foundation which outfits Schoolweb computer labs for rural schools in Africa. He is a founding board member of the African Public Broadcasting Trust, a member of the United Nations ICT Task Force, a co-founder of the Africa Digital Diaspora Network, and a member of the Africa Advisory Committee of the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development.

Mr Gyamfi Acheampong, an accomplished Entrepreneur is the Chairman & Chief Executive officer of Chrisaach.




MR. KWABENA SINTIM-MISA


KSM, as he is known for short, is unquestionably the finest stage actor in the country today. He has performed and thrilled audiences in the United States and Canada. His one-man-play, Thoughts Of A Confused Black Man, run off- Broadway in New York for five months.




DR. JACOB JORDAN LAMPTEY


Dr. Jacob Jordan Lamptey, born on the 26th of September 1937 and married with five children started his primary education at the Methodist School, Accra before proceeding to Pemepeh College for his secondary education. After two years of teaching at Odorgonno School, he proceeded to Queen University Belfast, U. K. in 1959....




MICHAEL DONKOR


Osei Tutu House A-Level Class of '84, Michael Donkor is a man who teamed up with some devoted students and led the peaceful demonstration that ushered the ousting of our opprobrious former Headmaster, M.K. Atiemo. What most Amanfoo do not know is that Angola Seaman, a professional Psyciatric Nurse, is an award-winning gospel recording artist with albums to his credit. The success of his last album led Mike Dee (his name in the music industry) to go on air for live Radio interview on Premier Radio, which is a Christian radio station in London. The album is also played on seven different radio stations in London. The uniqueness of his gospel album, won him the 1997 African Entertainment Award (AFENT) for the Best African Gospel Writer and Composer.




MR. GEORGE TWUMASI


George Twumasi of the Prempeh College Seventy Niners Class (Freeman House) is the co-founder and an Executive Director of the African Broadcast Network. George, known to his close friends as Abicus, is the driving force behind the Pan-African Audio Visual Action Partnership (PAAVAP), which he is currently evolving through the African Broadcast Network (ABN). He is working closely with several international media companies, 21 major African television broadcasters, and private-equity focused financial institutions; to establish a unified series of commercial, advertiser supported programme strands across the major television channels spanning Anglophone sub-Sahara Africa.




DR. FRANCIS ACHAMPONG


Dr. Francis Achampong, who was formerly Chair of the Department of Entrepreneural Studies and professor of Business Law and Insurance at Norfolk State University's Business School, is now the Director of Academic Affairs at the Pennsylvania State University, Mont Alto, holding authority delegated by the Campus Executive Officer (CEO) for all academic functions of the campus within the campus service area. Senior Sharpy, who is author of a seminal textbook on workplace sexual harassment law, is listed with the Technical Advisory Service for Attorneys as an insurance expert and appears in Who's Who in American Law.




DR. AKWASI A. AMPONSAH


Dr. Akwasi Asiamah Amponsah of the Freeman House Class of '77 is the Director of the Substance Abuse Consultant Service at the Medical College of Virginia. A graduate of the Meharry Medical College and the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, he is also Director of the Preventive Medicine Residency Training Program at the same institution.




MR. LINCOLN DONKOR


Mr. Lincoln Donkor belonged to the 1964/66 Year Group and was Assistant House Prefect of Serwah House. He is a retired Diplomat/International Civil Servant, having worked with the African Development Bank (AfDB) for 18 years in Abidjan. For 10 of those years, he was a Senior Staffer in the Office of the AfDB President Babacar Ndiaye. Gifted with a radiophonic baritone, he did part-time sound and TV broadcasting in the early and mid-70s respectively. He was presenter of the popular TV French programme: Parlez-vous francais?




DR. K.A.B. AKOSAH


Professor Akosah is the current President of the Ghana Medical Association. He is an internationally renowned Pathologist at Legon/Korle Bu Hospital who was recently featured in West African Magazine.

Educated at Prempeh College under the stewardship of the accomplished historian Dr. T.A Osae, this Asante Royal is coming up with a plan to make the Pathology Department of Legon the envy of the African continent, so much so, that students from all over Africa and the Caribbean will decide to study or carry out postgraduate studies at the Medical School of the University of Ghana. Little wonder that the Medical Admissions Committee at Legon has so strong an affinity for Prempeh College applicants.




DR. LEWIS ROBERTS


Dr. Lewis Roberts of the Prempeh College Silver Jubilee Class is a Gastroenterology specialist and Senior Associate Consultant of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is the Coordinator of The Navigators Africa Partners Medical Group, which helps establish and support private medical clinics in African countries.
