Lawyer Kodua to contest NPP Flagbearership

Kumasi, Feb 1, GNA- Mr John Kwame Kodua, a Kumasi-based legal practitioner has announced his candidature in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential candidate race.

In a Statement issued in Kumasi on Wednesday, Mr Kodua said, "I still persist in my pursuit of the leadership of my country and that is why I am firmly in the political race to capture the leadership of my party, the NPP and then the leadership of this country". He praised God for showering his blessings on the country over the years' and that the blessings had been tremendous since the NPP took power.

Mr Kodua mentioned the stabilisation of the country's currency and said in spite of the nation's traumatic and turbulent history, the nation still had something to show to the world.

"We should never lose sight of the fact that when the righteous are in power and rule in the fear of the Lord, we have good hope for the future", he stated.

He appealed to Ghanaians to be thankful to God for his mercies on the nation so far.
