The Great Teachers of Prempeh College

Mr. S.O. Koranteng
Art Teacher, 1950s, 60s, 70s & 80s

Until his retirement in 1988, SOK was the longest-serving instructor in the school. A funny man was he. He walked to class one day and told the class: "Draw a woman and his wife." Realizing seconds later that he had made a grammatical error, he corrected himself, saying: "Draw what I just told you, without the woo." He is the man who said that he would try to cane or slap every one so that if they became the head of state, he would say that he had slapped him before. He said: "When V.C.Y. Edwards was in Form 1 I slapped him, and now he is your Senior Prefect, therefore I have slapped your Senior Prefect."
