Douglas Nyame in US on scholarship

The 2004 Sports Prefect, Senior Douglas Nyame, popularly known as Manchester United, who was a key member of the 2004 Prempeh victorious soccer team, recently arrived in the USA on academic scholarship. Douglas, who was last seen at the Inter-Houses Soccer League at Sofoline, where he had a face-off with current Prempeh captain and national player of the year Ahmed Amoako, arrived at Anderson College in South Carolina about three weeks ago.

The school's soccer season starts in about a week's time and they have been playing friendly pre-season matches to get ready for the season. He says that "soccer is really great in here. The USA people have now got the passion for soccer and they are investing a lot of money in it."

"The guys in here are really good but in Ghana we think they are not good players. They are very fast and skillful."

Man United has impressed his coaches and team mates in the States as well. All the coaches love him; he has played 90 minutes in all of their four matches so far.

He is majoring in Business Administration.

Prempeh.org congratulates Man United for an outstanding SAT score.
