Sofoline's Rapid Development

Regarding important structures, landmarks and facilities, relatively few schools have advanced so rapidly in any decade than Prempeh in recent times.

Assembly Hall under construction was recently broken down to be expanded.

Not only has the College open a new residence hall, a dining hall annex and a library in this decade, many classroom blocks have been constructed along with many bungalows and flats for teaching staff.

The PTA built bungalows for the staff a few years ago. Then last year, they unveiled four new blocks of PTA-funded C450 million accomodation for the teaching staff.

Currently, an ultra-modern Assembly Hall is under construction which is expected to be completed around the end of the year.

Recently, the Assembly Hall under construction had to be broken down to make room for extra capacity as the architect felt the capacity will be small when they build it according to the previous pattern.

However, there is hope that the new Hall will be completed before this year's Speech and Prize-giving day.

Prempeh PTA is an awesome organization. They have done so well for our great College. This is why the Headmaster's recent words to the PTA Chairman is unfortunate. When the Chairman of the PTA demanded excellence from Mr. Owusu-Achiaw, the Headmaster angrily told him "I don't answer to you. I answer to Ghana Educational Service." Because few schools receive more support from their PTA than Prempeh, this statement from our Headmaster is extremely offensive and unfortunate.

The following are some of the new structures developed at Sofoline within just the last few years.
