Osei Nyarko declines King Faisal offer
Monday, February 13, 2006
Captain of last year's Prempeh national champion football team, Martin Osei Nyarko, who
was expected to join King Faisal FC, has turned down their offer.
The fee offered him was very small, according to his agent.
Former Prempeh captain Osei Nyarko (Apio), who inherited the captaincy from Chibsah.

Apio has been advised by his agent to decline the offer and leave his options open until a better
offer is presented by another team.
He will continue to captain his team in the local league and draw more
attention to himself. He may also pursue higher education like Asante Kotoko's
Chibsah, Guggisberg House Class of '96, who is the most educated man in the history of Ghanaian football.
For the past few weeks, Martin, who is popularly known as Apio, has been chased by several premier league clubs.
King Faisal of Kumasi, Berekum Arsenals and Tano Bofoakwa all want to sign the Prempeh graduate.
Apio, who is destined to lead the national team's attack one day, may become the most Lilliputian striker around.
Though he is considered too small for a striker, Apio is incredibly adept at jumping high up into the air and heading balls
over towering defenders, a skill his admirers find eye-pleasing.
