Ramseyer-Pearson feud settled

Thursday, December 8, 2005

A dispute between Ramseyer and Pearson as to who placed 4th in the soccer league has been settled upon consultation with prempeh.org.

The Ramseyer team

Ramseyer had claimed that they won the fourth position in the just ended soccer league, a claim Pearson challenged.

What Ramseyer folks failed to consider is that, when they refused to honor one of the matches because they did not like the field assigned to them, their opponents were awarded 3 goals and 3 points. Losing by 3 goals meant that 3 goals were deducted from their goal differential. And that put Pearson ahead of them by +2 goals.

Luckily for this year's group, they will receive their awards from the President of the Republic, who will be the Special Guest of Honour for the Speech Day on Saturday, December 10.

The prizes are going to be very special; a large sum has been spent on them and the boys will be very pleased to have them. Since they are intended to be a surprise, we will only name them here after Saturday.
