The official artist of the 2005 Prempeh.org Soccer Challenge is the national champion artist
Justice Amoh, who won the Unilever
national 4th Unilever National Schools Art Competition and went to London to claim the famous prize with artists from various countries.
Justice Amoh, a Visual Arts student of Prempeh College, notably one of the best artist of the school
had the chance to visit the United Kingdom for four days after he was pronounced the best artist
in the whole of Ghana. This started when the Unilever Company, Britain brought a letter to the Ministry
of Education, Youth and Sports inviting Ghana to take part in a competition organised to unveil the
potential of students in the art field.
The Ministry also directed the letter to some notable schools in Ghana namely Prempeh College, Mfantsipim, Yaa Asantewaa,
St.Louis, Adisadel College, Wesley Girls, Holy Child, St Augustine's College, St. Peters Sec, Presec and KNUST.
Each school was given a theme with which the students were to carry out their art on. In all 105 students participated.
The judges were from the United Kingdom so they was no favouritism whatsoever as that is the case in Ghana.
A month later, Justice Amoh of Prempeh College, who worked on the theme, "Comunication" was adjudged the winner in Ghana.
Unilever Ghana then contacted him and told him that he would claim his prize in London so should get his passport ready.
Barimah, Head of Visual Arts Department as well as the housemaster of Aggrey House accompanied Justice to London where
he claimed his prize as the overall best artist in Ghana with a host of other champions from other countries all over
the world.
Justice in his words said, "I was really frightened when I saw some of the guys from Tech coming to compete but
in the end, I made it".
He flew to London on the 18th of January, 2005 and came back in four day's time to get ready for the SSSCE.
About 4 months later, he was called by Unilever Ghana to claim his prize and certificate as the overall best
artist in Ghana, which was featured in the Mirror.
Although he is very busy taking his SSSCE exams, he has found time to draw the posters and the illustrations posted all over campus.
