Prempeh teachers have dominated the yearly Ashanti Best teacher awards in recent years.
Mr. Atiemo, Mr. Brobbey and Mr. Okyere Darko
have all won the crown, with the latter going on to be a
national runner up.
To win this high honour, one must provide effective teaching in the classroom and win some
popularity in the extra-classes or vacation classes scheme. This is how masters at one school can
make a name for themselves around other school campuses.
But what if a master is not offering his services in the classroom setting? Should he not be considered?
Eric Goloe running in Morocco. He was coached by Coach Lartey in Morocco.
A worthy Teacher of the Year candidate is Prempeh's Mr. Isaac A. Lartey, who is doing an excellent
job on the field.
Besides winning the Ashanti Milo football trophy twice in a row, he has also captured the national Milo football trophy
and has coached the Ashanti athletics and football teams to recent cup glories.
Furthermore, he became a national coach when he earned the right to coach Prempeh's Eric Goloe in the World Youth Athletics Championship
in Morocco this year.
The sacrifice he has made by tediously carrying out the Inter-Houses soccer league for several months should further convince all
Prempeh boys to go out and vote for him for Ashanti's Best Teacher.
This has long been overdue.
