According to Mr. Lartey, the soccer league has unmasked some great talent
at Sofoline. He has found several good players who will join the
national football champions and help us win another national title.
Mr. Lartey stands on the sidelines in all the games with a pen and notebook in hand, taking notes about potential
school team candidates.
Some outstanding players have been found. Prempeh.org will bring you a profile of new recruits
to the school team later.
He has discovered that unlike the traditional soccer players that play regularly, the new recruits
have a poor stamina. They usually get tired after playing about only 30 minutes. They will need continual training to achieve full
match fitness.
The referee for the recent matches has been newcomer Mr. Osei Asibey, who referees, coaches and insult the boys at the same time.
Some of his humorous comments to the players include "Kwasea, who said you can play like
that? Offside!"
The soccer league will not reach over two rounds like we originally thought. The houses are not going to play each other twice because of the impending
Milo Football competition and other sports competitions such as table tennis, cross-country, hockey and others.
We are therefore reminding all the houses to play each game as if it is their last. Try to accrue as many points as possible to make it to the Final 4.
Prizes will be announced after midterm holidays. Soccer League memorabilia will also be given.
