A winless but talented Pearson House outplayed Butler House in
the first half of last weekend's first match, scoring three classic goals
only to allow Butler to stage a comeback in the second half.
The Butler boys shocked the school by scoring 4 straight in the second half
to win the game.
But the fact that Pearson scored such a high number against Butler shows their pedigree.
Butler had until that point conceded only 3 goals in the whole league and was the
best defensive team in the school.
Pearson did show its mettle by playing great football, albeit with poor defending. They
should have capitalized on the fact that Butler's Paul Manu was warming the bench. Paul
had been injured in the school team's friendly match the day before and was acting like a coach on
the sidelines, a situation that was pleasing to Ahmed because Paul leads the Goal Scorers
chart and would have likely increased his tally by several goals had he featured in the game.
OT versus Serwah played this past weekend.
All the teams that fear Butler, including their next opponents Aggrey were cheering for
Pearson. Ahmed led the cheer for the Pearsonians.
Luckily for winless Pearson, they have played the toughest schedule so far and is left with only their easiest games.
They are still serious contenders for the title.
In the second match, Serwah punished surging Osei Tutu 3-1. They beat the OT boys as if they had stolen something.
The league is getting more exciting because everyone is involved now at Sofoline. Every where we go it appears to be the subject
of discussion.
