Give Form One boys a chance

Tuesday, October 11, 2005

In the games played this weekend, none of the 8 teams fielded a form one boy. This probably may be due to the fact that the houses have not found sufficient time to discover their talented form one boys yet, particularly since the new boys just arrived at school.

However, there are certain elements within the form threes and twos that feel that only returning students should play in the league. These seniors are trying to sabotage the development of the form one boys because each person wants to be the leading scorer. They want to monopolise certain positions on the field in order to win cash as leading scorers.

In fact, it is because of this anticipated greed that prempeh.org so far has not placed any cash award on the Goal King and MVP trophies. And if people continue to act selfish, we may be compelled to take away those two trophies.

The aim of this league is to help select the best Prempeh team. How are we going to succeed in finding the best Prempeh talent if the games are monopolised by a group of friends? Do not forget that the sensational Paul Manu led the league in scoring in July when he was merely a form one boy and he went on to become the first form one boy to play in the Ashanti Region football team. Consider also all the goals he scored for Prempeh in the Milo soccer competition last year.

Let us give the new boys a chance now!!!!
