Ramseyer House is due to take on Serwah House at 15:00 GMT today in what appears to be
the day's better match.
Ramseyer House, with motto Vouloir C'est Pouvoir (Here is Power!).
Plaqued by indiscipline but rich in football talent, Ramseyer contributes the highest number of
individuals to the national champion Prempeh team. The boys are very good and the house is
very loaded with talent -- including national stars -- but as Pearson showed us during last month's inter-house gala competition,
team unity is key to victory.
Could Ramseyer defeat the Serwah boys today?
The house can boast of three strong defenders, namely,
Rauf (number 3 position),
Bright Oteng (number 2), and
Sylvester Adu (number 4).
However, with the dreaded Serwah form one striker Charles Brenya, a.k.a Striker, the
Fourth House [Serwah - and not Pearson - was the 4th
House to be built!] is bent on beating the First House.
The inspiration that the team will seek from the all time best teacher, Mr Brobbey,
popularly known as Nigga Fo, will help them annexe the trophy. Watch out for Serwaa house.
Serwah House, with motto Vel Primus Velcum Primis (Be first or be among the first).
As Mr. Lartey told this website in an interview earlier, "Serwah doesn't have any big-name
players, but all you realise is that they have suddenly defeated you. They should never be
under-rated by anyone."
Ramseyer has meanwhile added Eric Goloe to their team after strangely submitting their list without
his name on it.
Senior Eric Goloe, the national athlete who just returned on Tuesday from the World Youth Athletics championships in Morocco,
was surprised to find that his name doesn't appear on Ramseyer's released list of players for the league.
The House Prefect submitted the list of 18 players without Eric's name on it, which is very puzzling because he is a key member of the
school team. Goloe plays the role of Prempeh David Beckham, making impeccable crosses from the right wing for the national champion
school team.
Today, the House Prefect explained that he expected Eric to be heading home to sleep for a long time following his arrival from Morocco and wouldn't be ready
to compete for the house any time soon, hence the omission. He was only giving him some time off to cure his fatigue from the World Athletics championship.
