We addressed the student body at the morning
Assembly at 6:30am this today. After about a 15-minutelecture, the students
proceeded to ask questions, which we answered.
Present at the session were the Headmaster and the I.T.
master, Mr. Akoto, who was there to give moral support or to address any
student questions about the technology.
At the dining hall at 2:30pm, the trophy will be brought there and introduced to the school.
This will be Mr. Lartey's turn to address the boys about the games.
The trophy for the Most Valuable Player and the Goal King will be delivered at a later date.
Those 2 trophies are portable personal trophies intended for keeping by the winner. To this end,
it will have a special citation ingrained on it, taking into consideration the winners' names
and the particular achievement. For example, the goal-king trophy may carry the citation, John Doe - for
scoring 20 goals in the 2005 Prempeh.org Soccer League. The Most Valuable Player trophy will
carry the citation, for being adjudged the best player in the 2005 Prempeh.org Soccer
League - a judgement conferred by KNUST Amanfoo.
We have asked the KNUST Amanfoo to select the Best Player, since sports masters in general have a tendency to lean in favour
of their "favourites" in matters such as this.
