Should final year students play?

Thursday, July 21, 2005

The form 3 boys who are writing their SSSCE exams have requested that they should be allowed to play the games and not be relegated to just cheering.

The book wormers want to play

The seniors have stated that they are still students of Prempeh College and until school closes on August 10, 2005, they are still "legitimate" students of Prempeh, though they would not be eligible to represent Prempeh College in any inter-schools football competition next year.

The purpose of the league is to discover and hone talent in anticipation of next academic year's Ashanti and national Milo soccer compeitions.

We were asked for our opinion as to whether the seniors should be allowed to play. But it shouldn't be up to us. It should be the Headmaster's decision.

But we feel that it would be okay for the seniors to play the very few games available to them before school closes. This will serve as a special, memorable send-off present for them.

The seniors finish SSSCE on August 3rd.
