2 Kotoko Stars donate to footballers

March 1st, 2004

"Wo kum apem a apem beba" is the motto, Kumasi Asante Kotoko is the name. The inseparable duo, the prolific midfielders, Yusif Chibsah (World No.6), Edmund Owusu Ansah (OWUO) who are Amabfoo and played in the school team during their stay on the premises of Prempeh College donated an amount of 600,000 cedis last week to the footballers in order to boost their morale after clenching the MILO trophy. This action was ignited by Ghana's finest radio sports presenter on Invisible 104.5 FM in Kumasi, Honourable Prince Agyekum who is also an Amanfoo after he made a passionate appeal to all old boys within the sports arena to show appreciation to our boys. He also contributed to the amount mentioned above.

In a related development, some old boys at Obuasi Mines have also donated 500,000 cedis to our boys.

The Milo soccer tournament is a prestigious event that brings a significant amount of money and media attention to the winning school. Since its inception, OKESS and KASS have dominated it; this is the first breakthrough year for Prempeh. Congratulations to these pioneering boys for bringing to Sofoline this famous trophy.
