We took over the mantle of leadership of a house that was already among the best in the school on 28th July 2002. It is the first house on campus named after Rev. Frito Ramseyer of the Presbyterian Mission. The motto of the house is “Vouloir c’est pouvoir”, which means, “wishing is power.” It motivates its members to always aim high and this has made the house a strong force to reckon with in terms of discipline, academics, general discipline, sports etc.
Our primary objective during our tenure of office was to keep flying high the flag of discipline. We must say here that without the support of our able housemaster Mr. A.H. Naazig and his assistant Mr. Boakye Srampah we would not have succeeded in this sector. Their frequent visits accompanied with advice kept us on our toes.
We took a cue from the adage “cleanliness is next to godliness” and improved on our surroundings by embarking on growing of flowers. No wonder the position of the house in the traditional Saturday inspection has improved from bottom to the top.
The house also saw the better side of the just ended inter-houses athletics competition although we could not clinch the ultimate. We entered into the competition without any ‘star’ but our competitors including Hashmiu and Daniel Owusu (Long Distance) were a thorn in the flesh of the other houses.
In the field of academics, the house has produced numerous good students for the for the school. Students like Carl Boakye, Agyemang Badu, Asafo-Adjei, Adutwum Kwadwo just to mention a few have established themselves as academic giants making the name of the house spread like wildfire.
To end, we would like to thank all seniors in the house for their support and co-operation especially Kwame Fosu, Sabuli, Fred Akwasi BOakye, Gilbert (House Electrician), overseers and all those who helped in making our dream a reality.
