Prempeh College has been hit by a heavy blow. This blow according to the
students is so immense that it will take years to heal. Prempeh.org carried
a story on Abeiku Ghansah whose father wanted him to travel in order not to
take part in the National Science and Maths Quiz.

The father, a pharmacist at
Komfo Anokye Hospital, is furious that his son was not offered a scholarship by
Prempeh administrators despite being the best in his class for 3 years.
Though the headmaster, his staff and some old boys pleaded with the dad of
Abeiku, it yielded no result. Prempeh.org interevened and even promised the
dad of paying the son's school fees when he is entering the medical school
next year. The dad welcomed the news.
However, the headmaster and his staff were stunned today when they went to
the boys' house only to be told that he has left for Accra and will fly to
the United States tomorrow for a vacation.
Abeiku has been the pivot of this year's team. He single-handedly dealt with
OWASS. That notwithstanding, Mawuenya, Dompreh and Jeffrey Offe-Sakyi are bent on doing
the college proud.
