Kumasi Anglican has qualified for the finals at the expense of Prempeh College by
defeating our boys 73-68.
The contest was very close until the Problem of the Day, where our boys earned one point while our
opponents earned 10 full points.
The boys were capable of catching Kumasi Anglican but Amanfoo in the audience became discouraged and started
walking away. Members of the graduated Class of 2007, who had come on to watch their own classmates compete for
the school started walking away.
From the stage, our contestants clearly saw that their own friends in the audience did not have any confidence in them bouncing back.
This discouraged the boys on the stage so much that it even affected the answers they were giving.
Sensing the harm that Amanfoo's departure were having on the boys, we tried to advise people againts leaving the hall.
However, they continually lied that they were only going to the bathroom, only to never return again.
Interestingly, in the end, Prempeh answered all the riddles correctly and earned 12 points againts KASS's zero in the riddles stage.
Yet the deficits they acquired during the time of people's departure from the hall was so great that they still trailed Kumasi Anglican
by 5 points.
