Quizmistress, our opponents, congratulate our boys

Both quizmistress Professor Kaufmann and the quiz master of St. Augustine's approached our boys
after the Pope John defeat and offered them a warm handshake, praising them for a brilliant performance.
Quizmistress Kaufmann is seen here congratulating our boys yesterday.
In a competition that could be dubbed "Battle of Eweland," Prempeh boys stopped answering questions when they took a 11-point lead,
forfeiting an opportunity to break away with a 20-point lead because they knew it was no longer possible for Pope John to catch them.
The boys were so relaxed that they refused to calculate and answer the riddle, a risky and childish act that caused us to
caution them at the conclusion of the program.
Because of this behaviour, a 58-47 lead almost evaporated, ending up as 67-62, which was too close for comfort.
Both schools competed strongly early on, with Pope John's Borlanyo answering nearly every question for them. The boy had an answer
for nearly every challenge.
When Prempeh's Mawuenya dropped his pen, our webmaster stepped on the stage to offer him a new pen immediately. He whispered these words
to Mawuenya: "This Borlanyo fellow is your fellow Eweman. Are you going to let somebody from your hometown defeat you here? Who is going to be the hero in Eweland?"
These words invigorated Mawuenya and spurned him on so much that he went on a long streak of providing accurate answers, eventually overpowering
the other Eweman.
In the end, Dr. Kaufmann went on to the boys to congratulate them for an excellent performance. The coach of likely finalist St. Augustine's also
walked over to the boys to pay his respect.
